With so many beautiful flowers from which brides have to choose to create their bouquets, it’s no surprise that this can be one of the more overwhelming aspects of wedding planning!
While there are many variables that help a bride determine which is the right bouquet, there are three constants that, once properly relayed to a floral designer, will allow the rest to fall into place.
- Personal style
- Gown
- Color Scheme
Conservative? Sassy? Modern? A minimalist? Larger than life? Bridal bouquets get as much attention as the bride and should reflect her personal style!

A large, cascading bouquet of flowers in the hands of a barefoot, beach bride wearing a free-flowing, short dress might look as if she forgot to drop off a funeral arrangement on her way to say I do. Be sure to take the gown into consideration when envisioning the perfect bouquet!

Color schemes give floral designers a great place to start. It lets him/her know their options. It also provides consistency with the look of the wedding. Choosing a bouquet full of flame orange calla lilies when the colors are chocolate brown and mint green would be blank stare inducing.
